Banggai Islands is written and maintained by a desk. We publish under Banggai Islands Editorial Desk because the reading, the drafting and the later corrections are shared work, and putting a single face on shared work would describe it wrongly.
The subjects this desk keeps current
Our subjects are park access and conservation rules, what things actually cost, how itineraries are put together and diving and snorkelling trips. The list is deliberately narrow, because a page nobody on the desk revisits is a page that quietly goes out of date.
How unverified detail is marked
Anything on this site that depends on a published rule can go out of date without any announcement. That is why a checked figure is labelled as checked and an unchecked one is labelled as unchecked, rather than both being presented in the same confident voice.

You will not find years of service, qualifications or professional titles claimed anywhere on this site. Claims of that kind need paperwork behind them, and we do not have it, so we do not make them. Nothing here replaces advice from the office or operator responsible for your case.
